I used to love 9round. But in the last 6 months the owner has lost interest in her clientele. The turnover of personal trainers is at an all time high. Today she wouldn't let me finish the last round because it was 1:00 (by her clock). I busted my butt to get there by 12:25 but every round was taken. As a 2 year loyal member you would think she'd let me finish out 2 minutes!! As well, she rarely turns on the air. Not sure about everyone else but I pay my hard earned money to work out in air conditioning because it's just too hot in south Louisiana. Save your money until there is new ownership bc the concept of 9round as a whole is great when you have owners that love what they do (I have also worked out in Davie FL as well as Birmingham AL so I do have 2 other clubs to compare to).
The workout is good, but I'm disappointed with the customer service. I called and left a voicemail regarding my contract due to a change in life circumstances, which went unanswered. I went in about a month later, spoke with a trainer. He was unsure, but he gave me the owners email so I could contact them as he was sure "they would work something out with me given my situation." Contacted the owners via email immediately. 2 weeks went by, still no answer. Resent my email stating I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of customer service. FINALLY received a response with no apology. I did finally get an answer to my question regarding the contract, which was fine. But, received no sympathy or apology from the owners. They clearly do not value my business.
Friendly staff and a great workout. Every day is different, never boring.
I formerly attended 9 Round College Station, and the experience was fantastic. I will be giving them 5 stars for the dedication of the owner and trainers. Comparing the two, the Covington location is not meeting what I'm paying for on their end. I will not be continuing my membership when the contract ends.
