Hate this place. Service is terrible and I can just go to Rouses and get the same things for half the price. Just buy a king cake an thats it. Dont bother with anything else.
I recently went there and everything tastes FROZEN. Isn't the purpose of bakery to be fresh? Far from it. I'd much rather go to Mandeville Bake Shop and receive fresh cakes and pastries. I ordered and it's still has a freeze dried taste to it. DISGUSTING!
I'm not impressed. bring my kids into the store to try their donuts and they are less than impressive. they are stale and the more I try to go in and give them a chance the less impressive it is. I usually stick to my favorite donut shop-Krummels. Grew up on those donuts and they never disappoint. I will stick to my long time favorite. The king cakes can be good, butI only buy them during Mardi Gras. I tried getting them for other times of the year and they just taste like they have been left out too long.
I went to a party this weekend and the cake and pastries just didn't taste right. Sorry to disappoint you Randazzos, but I'm going back to my hometown favorites.
